For more than 15 years, I’ve offered self-paced online continuing education for massage therapists across Texas. While many therapists love the flexibility of learning at their own pace, others have told me they miss the interaction, discussion, and connection that comes with learning in a classroom.

I’m excited to now offer that experience through Live Interactive CE Classes—bringing massage therapists together online for engaging discussions, practical education, and meaningful topics that simply can’t be experienced through reading a PDF.

This live interactive course is designed to provide an educational experience that simply can’t be replicated through self-paced learning.

Course Description

For more than 30 years, my passion has been helping people through natural health, massage therapy, and education. As a naturopath, licensed massage therapist, massage instructor, and continuing education provider, I’ve spent decades teaching others how the healing power of touch can improve quality of life.

Then, nearly nine years ago, my journey took an unexpected turn.

I became an End-of-Life Doula and Patient Advocate, walking alongside individuals and families during some of life’s most difficult moments. That work transformed the way I view healing, compassion, and the role massage therapists can play throughout serious illness, especially when the focus turns toward comfort, quality of life, and compassionate support.

This course is the result of bringing those two worlds together.

Together, we’ll explore the unique role massage therapists can play in supporting clients receiving hospice and palliative care. We’ll discuss hospice philosophy, the dying process, communication, ethical considerations, professional boundaries, and practical massage adaptations that promote comfort, dignity, and quality of life.

More importantly, we’ll talk about something that often isn’t taught in massage school—the power of simply being present. Sometimes our greatest gift isn’t fixing a problem or relieving pain. Sometimes it’s offering compassionate touch, a listening ear, and a calm presence during one of life’s most sacred transitions.

Through lecture, discussion, case studies, and stories from my own work in massage therapy and end-of-life care, my goal is to help you feel more confident, better prepared, and more comfortable caring for clients with serious illness and those approaching the end of life.

Whether you hope to work with hospice patients, support aging or medically fragile clients, or simply deepen your understanding of compassionate care, I hope you’ll leave this class with practical knowledge, renewed confidence, and perhaps a new appreciation for the profound difference a massage therapist can make at the end of life.

To ensure a high-quality learning experience for everyone, please review the following class policies before registering:

📹 Live Attendance is Required

This is a live, interactive Zoom class. To receive CE credit, you must attend both class sessions in their entirety.

No recordings or replays will be available.

 

🎥 Cameras Must Remain On

To verify attendance and encourage an engaging classroom experience, participants are required to keep their cameras on throughout both class sessions.

 

🚗 Attend from a Quiet, Stationary Location

Participants must attend class from a stationary, distraction-free location where they can actively participate in discussions.

Attendance while driving, riding in a vehicle, shopping, exercising, walking, working, or participating in other activities is not permitted.

This course is designed to be an interactive learning experience, and your full attention is expected throughout the class.

 

💬 Participation is Encouraged

Questions, discussion, and shared experiences are welcome! One of the greatest benefits of a live class is learning from one another in a respectful and supportive environment.

 

📋 Cancellation & Refund Policy

  • Cancellations received 14 or more days before the first day of class will receive a 100% refund.
  • Cancellations received less than 14 days before the class begins are non-refundable.
  • Registrations may be transferred to another Texas licensed massage therapist at no additional charge. Please contact me before the first class session so registration information can be updated.
  • If I need to cancel or reschedule the class for any reason, you may choose either a full refund or transfer your registration to the rescheduled class.
  • Because this is a live interactive CE course with attendance requirements, no refunds or partial refunds will be issued for missed sessions, failure to attend, technical issues on the participant’s end, or failure to successfully complete the course requirements.
